Academy School District 20 is one of El Paso County's educational leaders, serving more than 24,000 students in 34 schools and consistently receiving the Accredited with Distinction rating from the Colorado Department of Education. As one of the largest school districts in Colorado, District 20 welcomes many families who are connected with our country's service men and women, and the district's graduation rates are among the highest in the state. Each District 20 elementary student learns a world language in addition to English, and the district strives to provide students with opportunities in every realm, from theatre to robotics. Among the district's featured programs are STEM education for science, technology, engineering, and math, 21st Century skills, specific support for student with significant needs, career and technical education, International Baccalaureate programs for preschool through 12th grade, Advanced Placement courses, AVID programming, and talented and gifted education. Academy School District 20 also serves students through their Academy Online High School, and offers a Home School Academy.
